In a strongly worded response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, BJP MLC and Chief Whip of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council, Ravi Kumar, condemned the incident as a “cold-blooded slaughter” of innocent civilians.
“This is not just an attack; it’s a massacre, a deliberate act of hatred,” he said, alleging that the attackers targeted Hindu tourists with chilling precision. Kumar described the incident as “the most disgusting and deliberate display of hate-fueled violence,” sparking fresh outrage and calls for action.
Expressing unwavering confidence in the central government, Kumar stated, “I have full faith that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership will ensure these monsters in human form are brought to justice. This bloodshed will not go unanswered.”
He further appealed to the Karnataka state government to prioritize the safe return of all stranded tourists from the region. Referring to Manjunath Rao, one of the Kannadigas killed in the attack, he urged authorities to ensure that his mortal remains are brought back with dignity.
Kumar’s comments come amid growing demands for enhanced security for civilians in conflict zones and a comprehensive strategy to combat targeted terror attacks on civilians, especially tourists.
As the nation mourns the loss of innocent lives, political and public pressure continues to build for swift, resolute, and transparent action.
