BIDADI: Police discovered a body in a suspiciously parked car on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway early Thursday morning, prompting an immediate investigation by local authorities.

The vehicle was found stationed near Subhash Nursing College, close to the railway station. Alert passersby noticed the suspicious vehicle and informed the Bidadi Police Station.

Upon investigation, police found the deceased in the back seat of the car. After breaking the car’s window to access documentation inside, the deceased was identified as Mujahid (29), a resident of D.J. Halli, Bengaluru. Preliminary investigations reveal that Mujahid worked as a professional driver.

Police suspect the death may be due to poisoning, though the exact cause will be determined after a post-mortem examination. The victim’s family has been notified of the incident, and a case has been registered at the Bidadi Police Station.

Senior police officials, including Ramanagara District SP Karthik Reddy, Additional SP Suresh, DYSP Dinakar, and Bidadi Station Circle Inspector Shankar Nayak, visited the scene to oversee the investigation. A comprehensive inquiry is underway, with forensic experts, the dog squad, and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team examining the scene for evidence.

The case has drawn significant attention from local law enforcement, with multiple specialised units being deployed to ensure a thorough investigation. Authorities are currently awaiting forensic reports and examining all possible angles to determine the circumstances leading to the death.

The Bidadi Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
