On Monday, Chamarajanagar Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Nag inspired students and young individuals to cultivate a passion for civil service and social responsibility by pursuing careers as civil servants through competitive exams. She made these remarks during the inauguration of a 30-day coaching program for KAS/IAS exams, organized by the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Competitive Exams Coaching Centre in Mysuru.

Shilpa Nag highlighted that students from any educational background can now appear for these exams, as the higher education sector continues to expand. She emphasized that ample resources, including learning materials, preparation strategies, and coaching options, are available to aspirants aiming for such prestigious roles. She also shared valuable advice on exam preparation, focusing on time management, selecting the right subjects for prelims and mains, and the importance of consistent hard work and a disciplined study routine.

Stressing that there is no shortcut to success, the deputy commissioner urged aspirants to embrace both successes and setbacks with equal grace. Mysuru’s Additional Deputy Commissioner P Shivaraju also advised students to nurture qualities such as discipline, determination, and dedication to excel not only in exams but in all aspects of life. KSOU Vice Chancellor Sharanappa V Halase encouraged civil service hopefuls to make full use of the coaching classes to enhance their chances of success in the exams.
