Chikkaballapura : Bheem Srinivas, the founder president of the Ambedkar Youth Forum, has spoken out about the tragic suicide of Yadagiri PSI Parasuram Chalawadi. Speaking to reporters in Betamangala on Tuesday, he alleged that pressure from MLA Chennareddy and his son led to Parasuram’s decision to end his life.

Srinivas criticized the state Congress government, citing multiple scandals and an increase in suicide cases among officials. He claimed that MLA Chennareddy Patil and his son Pampanna Gowda had demanded a large sum of money to prevent Parasuram’s transfer from Yadgiri Nagar police station to the cybercrime unit. The alleged pressure reportedly caused severe depression leading to Parasuram’s tragic suicide.

Srinivas called for strict legal action against those responsible for pressuring Parasuram. He emphasized that it was unjust for a government elected on promises of supporting Dalits to silence their voices.

Highlighting Parasuram’s dedication as a member of the Dalit community, Srinivas stressed that he had diligently carried out his responsibilities as a public servant.

The news conference was attended by several office bearers, including Srinath Nastik, Govindappa, Kannur Rajesh, Charan Gowda, and Anukumar (Sanju). Their presence demonstrated solidarity in seeking justice for PSI Parasuram.
