JDS worker’s murder case solved: Police arrest accused in 48 hours
In a swift breakthrough, Chikkaballapur rural police have solved the murder case of a 54-year-old JDS party worker, Venkateshappa, arresting two suspects within two days.
The primary accused, Dhanpal R, 22, a JCB driver, and his accomplice, Satish L, 31, a mechanic, were apprehended for the crime. According to police, the duo ambushed Venkateshappa on Friday night while he was riding home on his scooter. They attacked him brutally, leading to his death, and fled the scene.
Investigations revealed a motive rooted in revenge. Five months ago, Venkateshappa publicly intervened in a dispute involving Dhanpal, reprimanding him in front of others. Feeling humiliated, Dhanpal planned retaliation, enlisting Satish to monitor the victim’s movements before executing their deadly plan.
The police recovered key evidence, including the murder weapons, mobile phones, and the bike used during the crime. Superintendent of Police, Kushal Chouksey, commended the team for their prompt action and efficient resolution of the case.
This swift resolution highlights the importance of vigilance and effective police work in ensuring justice.
