
Tragic Accident Claims Three Lives on National Highway 44
Chikkaballapur: A horrific accident on National Highway 44 near Sethdinne in the taluk claimed the lives of three individuals on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Muhammadul Bari (40), Razia Shahin (50), and Md Shah Alam (55), were all residents of Bihar. Muhammadul Bari was known to serve as an Imam at a mosque in Kolar.
The incident occurred while a total of nine people were traveling from Kolar to Penugonda in Andhra Pradesh in a Tata Sumo. According to reports, the driver of the Tata Sumo attempted to overtake a moving lorry, leading to a collision. Tragically, two of the victims died at the scene, while the third succumbed to injuries en route to the hospital.
In addition to the fatalities, six other passengers sustained injuries. Authorities from the Chikkaballapur Rural Police Station promptly visited the crash site to conduct an investigation. A case has been registered at the rural police station, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
