Woman’s brother and lover come together and murder husband

Chikkaballapur rural police on Tuesday apprehended a group of ten individuals for brutally murdering their 28-year-old relative following a dispute over an alleged extramarital affair. The crime took place on Sunday.

The victim, Subhash, was employed as a manager at an e-cart firm. He had married the sister of the main accused, Manoj, a year ago in a love marriage that went against the family’s wishes. The couple had a three-month-old baby boy. However, frequent clashes arose between them, with both accusing each other of infidelity.

Upon learning about these conflicts, Manoj, the prime suspect, conspired with Praveen, who was allegedly in a relationship with Subhash’s wife. Seeking revenge, the duo gathered eight accomplices and lured Subhash into a meeting.

On Sunday, a confrontation escalated into violence. The group viciously attacked Subhash with deadly weapons, bludgeoning him to death. His body was then discarded in a drainage along Gauribidanur Road.

Fearing legal consequences, some among the perpetrators surrendered to the authorities and admitted to their involvement. This led the police to swiftly recover Subhash’s remains and apprehend the rest of the accused.

Law enforcement officials have seized the murder weapons and filed charges of homicide against the culprits. Further inquiries are ongoing.
