Five tourists from Mysuru were injured in a road accident when the private bus they were traveling in crashed into a roadside tree in Mudigere taluk on Sunday. The bus was en route to Dharmasthala when it hit the tree near Bidarahalli, according to local police.
Out of the 11 passengers aboard, five sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Mudigere. The police reported that the injured passengers were employees of a hospital in Mysuru, and they were on a trip to Chikkamagaluru and Dharmasthala when the incident occurred.
Mudigere police have visited the accident site to investigate the cause of the crash.
