The event was reported from the boundaries of the Chitradurga Women’s Police Station, and the offender has been charged with POCSO by the police. The young victim spent three years, according to the authorities, reading the Quran at a masjid. The accused had told her parents she was possessed by demonic entities and that her home needed to be the site of a particular ritual.
