Staff and patients at a government hospital in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka’s Molakalmuru have been in distress due to severe electricity outages. Under extreme circumstances, the hospital’s 100-bed facility has been functioning, with medical personnel examining patients with torches, cell phone flashlights, and candles.
Due to the backup generator’s near-weeklong non-operation, the hospital administration has also come under fire for alleged negligence. The heavy rain caused a disruption in the power supply.
