
Heavy Rain Causes Disruption in Chitradurga, Tractor and Car Swept Away
Heavy rain that lashed Chitradurga district on Monday night has severely disrupted normal life, particularly in Challakere taluk. Nayakanahatti and nearby areas experienced significant waterlogging throughout the night. Floodwaters from Chikka Kere inundated the police station, homes, and businesses in the temple town, with the Guru Thipperudraswamy temple in Horamutt also submerged.
In Gajjuganahalli village, a tractor was washed away in flash floods. The police faced challenges as rainwater flooded their station, reaching knee-deep levels and complicating efforts to secure important records. Additionally, a car carrying four individuals en route to Devarahatti was swept away near Nayakanahatti village, but fortunately, all passengers escaped unharmed.
