Mysuru: Bitcoin row has taken the State by storm. Slamming the BJP government for the controversy, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Spokesperson M. Lakshman on Sunday November 14 said that all indications are pointing fingers at Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He said, “We are in the process of building a case against BJP leaders. Instead of complaining against Congress leaders, Bommai should reveal the names of actual people involved in Bitcoin row. Has the case been handed over to ED or IT department?”, he questioned.

Lakshman said, “Bitcoin business is illegal in India though it is legal in some foreign countries. People are discussing some BJP leaders’ names. We are looking at the controversy carefully.”

Congress leader said, “We don’t follow BJP’s hit and run policy. The accused Srikrishna Ramesh has said in a statement that he has hacked some of the websites of top Congress leaders to lay his hand on their bank accounts.”

Lakshman added, “The whole row should be probed by a sitting Supreme Court judge for the mystery to be unravelled. Many police officers and their relatives are also allegedly involved in the Bitcoin business.”

City Congress president R. Murthy and others were present.
