Bhatkal: A Day at the picturesque Murudeshwar beach took a tragic turn as two young men from Bagalkot district met a watery grave in separate incidents on the same day.
Manjunath Ramesh Hadapada (25), a resident of Budihal in Bagalkot district who was currently living in Navanagar, was on a family trip to Murudeshwar when the heartbreaking incident occurred. While enjoying the sea with his family, Manjunath found himself in a precarious situation and was unable to overcome the strong currents, leading to his unfortunate drowning.
Krishnappa Kariyappa Harakangi (18), hailing from Lokapura in Bagalkot district, was part of a group of friends who had embarked on a journey from Dharwad to Murudeshwara. The group’s joyful day by the sea turned into a tragedy as Krishnappa met a similar fate. Initially enjoying themselves on the left side of the temple, they ventured into the waters for a swim, where the unfortunate drowning incident occurred.
These heart-wrenching events serve as a stark reminder of the risks associated with sea activities. Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of adhering to safety guidelines and being vigilant in the face of potentially dangerous conditions at coastal locations. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and friends of the two young men during this difficult time.
