Bhatkal: The District and Sessions Court of Uttara Kannada issued a non-bailable warrant against resigned Bhatkal police sub inspector Revathi in an atrocity case on Friday, September 2.
DySP Narayan in 2012 had filed an atrocity case against Revathi. The hearing of the case was underway at the District and Sessions Court with Revathi absent. A lawyer informed media that the absence of Revathi made the court issue a non-bailable warrant against her.
Revathi had resigned from the post of Bhatkal PSI on Sunday, August 28, a day before she was issued a suspension order over dereliction of duty. Revathi had alleged harassment by her higher officials as a reason for her resignation.
It is learnt that, she had written a letter the Home Minister alleging that she was being harassed by senior department officials.
