Karwar: We should not have a myopic view of cooperative sector but should view its development as something of social and national responsibility, said State Legislative Assembly Speaker Vishveshwar Hegde Kageri
He was speaking at a daylong traning programme organised by Sahakara Bharathi, District Unit held at TRC Auditorium here in Sirsi on Monday November 8. Indians are inherently of cooperative mindset. However, westernisation has had negative impact on this mindset. And hence, it is important that organisation such as Sahakara Bharathi takes it as a social and national responsibility, he stressed.
Kageri said that RBI, State and Centre as well as cooperative field should work more transparently. Further, Sahakara Bharathi members themselves should increase their knowledge as far as legal issues are concerned, he added.
