Karwar: The Income Tax Department conducted a raid on the Bharatiya Janata Party sitting MP Ananth Kumar Hegde’s close associate Krishna Yesale’s residence, here on Tuesday, April 16.
Meanwhile, they have also raided Hegde’s another close associate, BJP Rural Unit President R V Hegde’s residence too.
The I-T officials had arrived to the district from Hubbali and were split into two teams. They raided the houses of both of Hegde’s associates simultaneously.
The officers are investigating the important documents and are trying to identify if there is any unaccounted cash in their residence.
