Karwar: In a shocking incident, a gold chain, which was lost during the Sri Venkataramana Rathotsava at Manjuguni in Sirsi Taluk, was returned to the owner.

Lokesh Chandru Netrakar, an employee of Bank of Baroda in Siddapur, had recovered Rs. 1.50 Lakh worth gold chain. He showed humanity by returning the gold chain to the chain owner Nagarathna Manjunatha Gowda.

Nagarathna Manjunatha Gowda, along with her family, went to Manjuguni Rathotsava at around 10 pm and offered fruits to the deity and came out in a hurry to see the chariot.

At this point, they found the gold chain missing from her neck. She immediately informed about the missing chain to Trustee Sriram Hegde Barasuguni, who was near the chariot. He said her to pray to God.

Accordingly, Nagarathna went to the deity and after fifteen minutes of taking a vow, she came back to Sriram Hegde and found the missing chain in his hand.

Lokesh, who is the Assistant Manager of Bank of Baroda had handed over the gold chain found under the Garuda Pillar opposite to the sanctorum of the Temple to the Trustee Sriram Hegde and asked him to find the losers.

The chain was handed over to Nagarathna in the presence of public.
