Karwar : A school girl sustained knife injuries in her hands, after two bike borne miscreants assaulted her, in an alleged attempt to kill her in Honnavar.
Kavya Shekar Naik, a 9th standard student and a resident of Kodlagadde sustained injuries in both hands, while attempting to thwart knife wielding bike-borne miscreants on the move.
The miscreants managed to flee from the spot immediately after their futile bid, it is gathered.
Reacting on the incident, union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde said, the assault is of serious nature and the BJP will resort to Jail Baro agitation in Uttara Kannada district from December 19 to stop with what is called ‘state sponsored terrorism’.
Separate events will be held at taluk level every day to highlight the failures of state congress regime, minister Hedge announced.
