Karwar: Taking a dig at Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, Union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde said that HDK is functioning like a ‘shadow of Siddaramaiah’.
Addressing a news conference in the city, Hegde said that just like former CM Siddaramaiah, even HDK is delivering poor administration at the state.
“The ‘governance of arrogance’ that was started by Siddaramaiah continues with HDK in the coalition government,” he said adding that due to both, the people of Karnataka have been facing embarrassment.
Raking up the incident of PWD Minister Revanna tossing biscuits at flood-affected families, Hegde said that the incident is the proof for the ‘governance of arrogance’ and people of the state will not tolerate it.
“This attitude will not take them too far. We all know where Siddaramaiah landed and the coalition government too will tread the same path, ” he said.
With regard to news making rounds on party ticket guaranteed for orator Chakravarthi Soolibele for the upcoming parliamentary polls, Hegde said that it was left up to the party high command and that he would accept the decision of the party.
Refuting the allegations that the BJP is handpicking RSS men as party’s candidates from coastal belt, Hegde said that the party issues tickets purely on basis of capabilities, eligibility and merit only. “I do not accept the trend of dividing the party workers into BJP and RSS factions,” he said.
