Karwar: In a gesture of humanity, Superintendent of Police (SP) Vinayak Patil took taken an injured person in his car and hospitalised him, here on Monday, April 27.
In the evening, a bike had skidded right in front of the District Press Club, due to which rider Chandrakanth Bhajantri was severely injured.
As the people rushed to the accident spot and tried helping Chandrakanth, one of them rang up the emergency number 108.
Meanwhile, SP Vinayak’s vehicle which was passing by the same road, stopped at the spot. SP Vinayak, with the help of his staff and public, shifted the injured in his official car and took him to a hospital, without even waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
The public has lauded SP Vinayak’s humanity.
