Karwar: In an unfortunate incident, a 25-year-old man died on the spot when his bike collided with an Omni van in front of the civil hospital in Karwar.
The deceased has been identified as Suraj Janaka Prasad, a resident of Baithakhol in Karwar.
Suraj was plying from the side of the SP’s office when the incident occurred. He sustained severe head injuries in the accident and was immediately taken to the hospital by the police and locals. However, he succumbed before any treatment could be given.
The police have conducted an inquest and a case has been registered at the traffic police station.
