Kasargod: Burglars broke into a house and stole 50 sovereigns of gold ornaments from a house at Pallathadka near Badiyadka here in the District.
Abdul Razzaq’s house at Pallatadka was barged into and the act was committed. The thieves broke open the door of the ground floor of the two-storey house and stole the gold ornaments from the cupboard.
During the incident, Abdul Razzaq and his family had locked the house and had gone to his daughter’s house in Kondathodu. When he returned home on morning of Monday March 6, he found the front door in a broken condition and when he checked inside, he found the gold ornaments kept in the cupboard missing.
Badiyadka Police has registered a case and are investigating.
Deputy Superintendent of Police P. K. Sudhakaran visited the spot and led the investigation.
