Kasargod: The family of Kripesh, the brutally murdered Youth Congress worker, finally got a newly built house suitable for occupancy, here on Saturday, April 20.
Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Ernakulam constituency, Hibi Eden helped in providing Kripesh’s family a pucca house under the ‘Neralu’ scheme.
The house warming ceremony was organized on Friday, April 19, in a simple manner.
The newly built house is 1300 square feet and was completed within 40 days.
The house is built under a budget of Rs 20 Lakhs which comprises three bedrooms, a living area, kitchen and a toilet.
Hibi Eden’s wife and daughter, MLA V D Satheesan, Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Kasargod constituency Rajmohan Unnithan, President of District Congress Committee (DCC) Hakkim Kunnil and party workers were present.
Kripesh’s father Krishna, mother and his sister Krishna Priya were present.
Another slain Congress party worker Sharath Lal’s father Surya Narayana was also present.
Earlier, Kripesh and his family used to stay in a hut.
