Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath performed Guddali puja for water storage tank construction project at Morgans Gate. The project costing Rs.6.25 Crs, strengthens the distribution network as part of the Jalasiri project to provide clean drinking water to every household in the Mangalore Municipal Corporation limits.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kamath said the project was in progress to provide clean drinking water, one of the most essential commodities for human life. “It was necessary to strengthen the distribution networks for providing 24-hour drinking water to every household in the corporation area. In these lines, we have done the ‘Guddali Pooja’ for the construction of a tank with a capacity of 25 lakh water storage capacity,” he said.
The tank will supply water to Hoige Bazar, Port Ward, Jappinamogaru, Attavara, Mangaladevi, Bolara, and Jeppuward, MLA Kamath said.
