‘Rani Abbakka Force’ flagged off by SP Lakshmi Prasad in Bantwal town

Bantwal: An exclusive squad for the protection of women and children, the ‘Rani Abbakka Force’ was flagged off by the Superintendent of Police Lakshmi Prasad here on Monday, May 6.

The special police force was flagged off at the B C Road junction.

This special force will be led by one lady SI officer.

They will be deployed near colleges, parks, railway stations, markets and other areas.

SP Lakshmi Prasad said, “As there are 50 lady police, each area will be handled by 3 to 5 special force personnel and will report crime-related instances to the police stations that come under their jurisdiction.”

The ‘Rani Abbakka Force’ is formed in all the districts under the direction of DG-IGP of Karnataka State Police.

Additional SP Dr. Vikram V Amathe, ASP Saidulu Adavath, Bantwal Circle Inspector Sharangowda and other police officials were present.
