Mangaluru: A 19-year-old who was seriously injured in a fight over trivial issue died of stab injuries after he failed to respond to treatment at a hospital.
Nisarg (19), a resident of Kodikal Shivanagar, near Padil is the deceased.
On the night of September 14th, Nisarg was returning home along with his friends after witnessing Krishna Janmashtami Mosaru Kudike celebrations at Attavar.
Differences cropped up between friends midway and Nisarg was assaulted by his friends named Puneet, Nikhil, Prakash and Sharat.
Nisarg’s friends stabbed him near Padil Railway Bridge suspecting him to be police informer over their involvement in drug consumption.
Seriously injured Nisarg was later admitted to a private hospital. But, he failed to respond to treatment and eventually died.
The Kankanady city police arrested Puneet, Nikhil, Prakash and Sharat in connection with the incident. It is said that Nisarg had asked his friends to mend their ways, which led the friends suspect that he was a police informer.
