Mangaluru: If all goes well, then District Wenlock Hospital will soon house a Unani Block.
Speaking about the same, Minister for Health UT Khader said that the Unani block at Rs 9 cr with 50 beds has been given administrative approval.
He said that while 58 posts have been sanctioned for the hospital and appointments to the posts will be done soon.
Ullal violence
Thanking the people of Ullal for co-operating in investigations, Khader said that even as some anti-social elements wanted to tear apart Ullal by sparking communal violence, they could not succeed, because instead of getting provoked, people of Ullal co-operated with and helped the police in investigation, due to which culprits behind the recent violence were caught.
He said that as far as compensation for Safwan, a fruit vendor who lost his life after an attack in Ullal, is concerned, he would place a proposal before the Chief Minister for relief for three victims of Ullal and also RTI Activist Vinayak Baliga.
It may be recalled that Ullal region has been sensitive over the last few days after continued attacks on people. The attack spree had even led the police to slam Section 144 in the region.
