Mangaluru: Every year on September 25, around the globe “World Pharmacists Day” is observed and celebrated. On this occassion, the Yenepoya Pharmacy College and Research Centre had organized a seminar on “Pharmacist: Your Medical Expert”.
The teaching and non-teaching staff of the Medical and Ayurvedic training centres of the organization participated with enthusiasm.

Vice Chancellor, Yenepoya University Dr. M Vijaykumar threw light on some of the information of the earlier edition and encouraged the students through his welcome speech. He also lectured on the importance of work.
Director-Technical, Phytotech Extracts Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, Dr. Paramjyothi Kanni said, “The meaning behind a crescent or a short smile is a normal smile”.
Director of Academics, P.A. Educational Trust (R), Surfraz Hasim J, in his talk explained the importance of skill development.
Registrar, Yenepoya University, Dr. G Shivakumar Menon explained about the limits of a Medical Officer and requested to very well handle the responsibilities of a pharmacist/medical expert.
Assistant Professor Sonal D’Souza, explained the importance of the day. Assistant Professor Haleema Shahin D. H offered the vote of thanks.
In the sessions conducted Dr, Paramjyothi Kanni spoke about the “Work-based skill development with pace and proximity”. He encouraged the students during the session. Surfraz Hasim J concentrated on the topic of “Mental strength and its practice”.
