Mangaluru: Pinky, a rescue dog from Mangaluru was adjudged the “Cutest Indian Dog Alive” at the seventh edition of the national competition organised by the PETA India.
Pinky, as a 6-month-old pup, was found abandoned at a construction site near Mangala Stadium last year by Jean Crasta. She nursed the weak and malnourished the pup back to health and became her adoptive parent. Now the same mongrel has become the pride of Mangaluru by winning the national competition.
On her way to stardom, Pinky outperformed hundreds of dogs from around India. As a recognition, she will now get a certificate to prove her credentials. She will also feature in the upcoming issue of the PETA’s magazine “Animal Times.”
