Mangaluru: Former national organising secretary of the ABVP, Sunil Ambekar defined the student organisation as a robust anti-virus fighting viruses like terrorists, Maoists and “Urban Naxals”.
He was speaking on the second day of the ABVP’s state-level convention at the Kudmul Rangarao Town Hall on Saturday, February 8.
“In 2016, the ABVP had kick-started a debate in JNU on who are with patriots and who are with terrorists. The discussion continues in the country. We have already exposed the divisive forces in JNU. There are 950 Universities in the country. If only a few students in four universities have raised their voice on an issue, they cannot be considered as representing the students of the country.”
Claiming that lies had been told in the pages of history about many, including Tipu Sultan, Ambekar said, “History has to be told to those who have forgotten history. Tell them this is the country of Rama-Krishna, Savarkar’s patriotism.”
As part of the state conference, a huge procession was held at Car Street wherein thousands of ABVP members participated by shouting slogans in favour of the student organisation.
