Mangaluru: Minister U T Khader has never made statements so far that could land him in trouble, however while supporting the visit of Kerala CM Pinaray Vijayan, Khader ended up passing a comment on the protesters, for which he had to clarify what he meant.

“I have not said anything with the intention of insulting anybody. When a veteran leader who is aged about 70 years was visiting the district, a faction trying to create chaos was incorrect because it would only project the district in wrong light,” said Khader.

The right wing had gone all guns blazing to oppose Pinarayi’s visit to Mangaluru on Saturday, on grounds that the Kerala CM has failed to curb political killings in his state and hence had no right to take part in the communal harmony rally.
The right wing outfits had given a call for bundh as mark of protest.

Responding to the same, the Minister had reportedly said that one’s protesting against Pinarayi were not even fit to be compared to Kerala CM’s footwear. The statement did not go well many who raised objection to the same.
