Alva’s College gets ‘A’ Grade accreditation from UGC NAAC

Moodabidri: Alva’s College which comes under the Alva’s Education Foundation has been accredited with “A” Grade by the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Addressing a press meet, here on Saturday, June 15, Dr. Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation said, “An institution which began 21 years ago with just 28 students, is now an institution of 4260 students both in UG as well as PG. The NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation will now help facilitate the smooth functioning of research activities and will inturn, help the students as well as the lecturers and professors to involve in research of international standards.”

“We will now be able to sign MoUs and collaborate with prominent institutions of the world interms of academics and employment, from which the students will benefit in getting trained towards their preferred professions. This will also help us provide them a platform on a global level”, he added.

He said, “NAAC had visited our institution on May 21 and 22 and had inspected academic aspects such as research, syllabus etc, and also infrastructural facilities. After having inspected all these, it has extended the accreditation for the second term.”

Principal Dr. Kurian, PRO Padmanabha Shenoy and lecturer Srinivas were present.
