Alva’s creates history with excellent results

Moodabidri: Alva’s Educational Institutions has created history by obtaining 99% and above results for the last eight consecutive years with maximum number of students studying in the institution.

Results at a glance:

In addition, two students from commerce and one from science division have entered the top league by securing high marks in their respective streams. Ashik Narayan and Daksha Jain have scored 593 out of 600 in Commerce while, Sanmayi has scored 591 out of 600 in Science. Rahul is the college topper in Arts with 559 marks.

12 students from the college have secured more than 98% marks where as 331 students have secured more than 95% marks.

Reacting on the results at a press meet, the founder President of Alva’s Institutions Dr M Mohan Alva said that he is extremely happy with the outcome as he felt that it’s a unique achievement to secure 99% and above results for 8 consecutive years. Many outstation students are studying in the institutions and Alva’s contribution is significant in DK getting the 1st position in the entire state. In addition to the above, 93 students were provided free education under a sponsored program out of which 92 have passed.

In the field of sports one student represented at International level, 27 students at National level and 28 at state level in different sporting events and have won medals thereby making the institution proud.

Pre-University College Prinicipal Prof Ramesh Shetty and Public relations officer Dr Padmanabha Shenoy were present on the occasion.

Science topper Sanmayi wants to become a computer engineer

Alva’s student Sanmayi has scored 591 out of 600 in science and is one among the toppers from the District. The eldest of two daughters of Dr Mahabaleshwara Hegde and Veena from Karwar, Sanmayi aspires to be a computer engineer.

Well versed in Sanskrit, Sanmayi gained entry at Alvas’s two years ago due to her excellent performance in SSLC examinations where she had secured 98.5%.
