Moodabidri: Girls studying in Alva’s institutions became the runners-up in the state level Under-17 wrestling championship held recently in Belagavi.

Mamatha and Sahana were declared winners in 44 and 51 kg categories respectively while Ankita stood second in 59 kg category. Tushara and Vaishnavi took the third spot in the 58 and 48 category respectively thereby clinching the runner-up spot.
