Moodbidri: The II PUC examination results were announced today, April 15. Olvita Ancilla D’Souza is one of the two commerce students who bagged the first rank in the state with a total of 596 marks.
A student of Alva’s PU College, Moodbidri, Olvita is the daughter of Oliver Ubald D’Souza, an agriculturist and Anitha Maria D’Souza, a housewife.
In the examinations, she scored full marks (100) in Business Studies, Accountancy, Basic Maths and Statistics and 98 marks each in English and Hindi.
On learning that his daughter had secured the first rank in the state, Oliver D’Souza told Newskarnataka.com, “As any other parent would be, I am very happy and proud of Olvita’s performance.”
When asked what she plans to do next, her father said that Olvita plans on doing a B.Com course that is integrated with Chartered Accountancy. He is, however, not sure where she plans on pursuing her higher studies.
Olvita was not available for a comment.
