Mangaluru: Amid the ongoing coronavirus scare, a Chinese ship reportedly arrived at the New Mangaluru Port Trust (NMPT) in the wee hours of Thursday, April 2.
According to sources, the ship came to NMPT to take procure diesel from Mangaluru Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), after obtaining permission from the Ministry of Shipping.
Sources also informed that all the crew members of the ship belong to China.
As it is widely accepted that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) originated from China, the crew members were reportedly not allowed to deboard the ship at NMPT.
