Mangaluru: In the wake of young individuals being assaulted in the name of community, the anti-communal wing in Mangalore has now come forward with deter such incidents
The wing, which was established nine months ago under the guidance of DG Parmeshwar who serves as home minister, and overseen by an officer of the ACP rank has now been revamped so as to help citizens in a better way.
The wing now has three sub divisions that will be supervising its works along with a dedicated squad of police personnel and separate police teams from ACW
In other words, the wing is now going to be much stronger than what it was at the time when it was established. The police teams will conduct surveillance at public places like beaches and parks
All this is with regard to moral policing which has been on the increase in recent years, though the number has been decreasing in the last couple of years.
These rowdy incidents are the work of some serious criminals from organizations and groups with some new names included in the list too.
It is for this reason that the wing is now strengthened to remain vigilant at all times, preventing the wake of such incidents in the city.
