Anushree, Sowmya Kotyan bag gold medals in University exams

Mangaluru: Anushree C S of University College, Mangaluru received the Shri Narayana Malkhed gold medal for securing the first rank in Hindi (88.89%) in the MA Hindi programme offered by the Mangalore University. Sowmya Nilesh Kotyan of the department of PG Diploma in Yogic Science of the University College, Mangaluru has also secured the first rank.

Anushree is the second gold medallist since the inception of the PG department of Hindi in 2015-16. She completed her graduation from the University College, with Hindi literature as an optional subject in 2015-16. At present, she is serving as a lecturer at Alva’s Degree College Moodbidri.

Sowmya is an Ayurvedic physician by profession at Sharada Ayurvedic Hospital in Talapady. She is the daughter of Mangalore University staff (earlier at University College) Mrs. Balini.

Meanwhile, Gutti Vijaya Bharathi has secured the third rank in the PG Diploma in Yogic Science. Originally from Andhra Pradesh, she is the wife of a Merchant Navy Commander.
