Attack on youth at Asaigoli: BJP sets Oct 23 as deadline for police to nab miscreants

Ullal: The saffron activists gathered in large number outside the hospital in Deralakatte where a Hindu youth was battling for life after he was attacked by miscreants in Asaigoli, on Saturday.

The police, considering the seriousness of the issue has formed five special teams to probe into the attack.

It may be recalled that Karthik, a youth from Pajir near Konaje was attacked by miscreants while he was on his morning walk. A severely injured Karthik was rushed to a hospital nearby.

Minister U T Khader, who visited the hospital consoled the parents of the victim and also had a talk with the doctors treating Karthik.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel visited the hospital and said that he has had a talk with the Police Commissioner and directed them to nab the culprits at the earliest.

Later in the night, BJP Mangaluru Assembly Segment President Santhosh Kumar Rai Boliyaru said that attacks on Hindu youth was on a rise and there was need to curb it.

“The culprits behind Karthik’s attack must be nabbed at the earliest,” he asserted adding that further course of action will be decided if the police fail nab the culprits by October 23.
