Bantwal: One person died after an auto rickshaw toppled near Budoli bridge in Peraje village limits of Bantwal taluk on November 4.
Dinesh (40), a resident of Bollukallu, son of Chennappa Poojary is the deceased.
Dinesh was returning home with his family after meeting his mother-in-law at Sera in Kadeshivalaya village limits. When the auto toppled, Dinesh was thrown out of the vehicle and suffered grievous injuries in the incident. He died within minutes after the incident, said eye witnesses.
His family members including children escaped with minor injuries.
A seriously injured auto rickshaw driver Chandrappa Poojary has been admitted to government hospital in Puttur.
Dinesh’s body is presently lying in the hospital mortuary.
Vittal police rushed to the accident spot and further investigations are in progress.
