Mangaluru: Just hours before the Lok Sabha election in Mangaluru, members of the Billava community have expressed their anger, claiming that the BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Dakshina Kannada is sidelining other backward communities.
They held an urgent meeting and expressed their dissatisfaction against Chowtha. Leaders of Biruver Kudla, Yuva Vahini, and Gejjegiri organizations took part in the meeting.
They alleged that he is sidelining those associated with MP Naleenkumar Kateel, “We don’t know why he is neglecting us,” said Biruver Kudla organization founder Uday Poojary.
People are now saying that Kateel was far better than Chowtha; he was asking how many votes Biruver Kudla organization has, they alleged. He charged that if the situation continues, two more MLAs, Vedvyas Kamat and Bharat Shetty, will also be replaced, said Ballalbhag.
