Mangaluru: Even as there is huge hue and cry over moral policing by saffron outfits, the Bajrang Dal South Zone has decided to train its members in techniques to check immoral activities like ‘Love Jihad’, drug mafia, cattle theft etc.
The training of three days to be held in Sanghaniketan in Mangaluru will be held from October 21 where as many as 700 Bajrang Dal workers from south Karnataka (all districts below Bijapura) will take part in the workshop.
VHP Pranth Karyadhyaksha Prof M B Puranik, in a press meet on Monday stressed that such training were important to check social evils. “To tackle such problems in an effective manner at the grassroots level, the Bajarang Dal youth will be trained to maintain discipline, responsibility and be quick in handling situations. The three-day programme will look into all the necessary steps that we may have to take to keep anti-moral elements away,” Prof Puranik said.
There will also be congregation of more than two thousand members of the VHP and Bajrang Dal in Kadri ground. A march will be undertaken from Jyothi circle to Kadri ground through Mallikatta.
Top Bajrang Dal and VHP members of the district Sharan Pumpwell, Suryanarayan, Raghu Satheesh, Jagadeesh Shenva, and Sunil Udupi were also present at the press meet.
