Barbeque Nation presents ‘The Wahrabia Fest’ – Arabian Food festival

Mangaluru: Barbeque Nation is presenting ‘The Wahrabia Fest’ a window to the culture and cuisine of the lands of Arabia.  Inspired by popular folklore such as the Arabian Nights and Aladdin, ‘Wahrabia Fest’ is ready to transport guests to an exotic dining experience.


 The foodies can visit Barbeque Nation’s outlets in Mangalore (MAK Mall) between March 2nd and March 19th to savour a myriad of enchanting flavours that captivate the senses of customers, transporting them to the heart of breathtaking Arabian sands.

Food lovers can experience the quintessential ‘shamiyana’ decorated beautifully with giant hookahs and stained glass artwork.  

Barbeque Nation offers patrons a chance to experience traditional Arabian dishes such as Jojeh Kebab – chunks of chicken marinated in saffron and grilled to perfection, Rubian Meshwi – chargrilled prawns marinated with Lebanese spices, Dabel Kebab, Arabian Kafta Lamb Seekh – minced lamb on seekh and Samak Meshwi – the charcoal grilled fish cubes flavoured with turmeric and ginger is a pleasant surprise. Get swept away by tantalizing vegetarian preparations such as Afelia Batata, Fried Pita, Fatayer, Mouttabal, Zucchini Fasigratin, Sheesh Kudra, and Lebanese Kabab.

The highlights of the festival are the live-counters where dishes like Falafal pita roll, Cheese burrah with spicy tomato dip, Kesabi Dejaj , Chicken Shawarma , and Dabel Kabab , will be cooked in traditional style. Customers can bask in the aroma of marinated, skewered meat sizzling over hot grills and tawas. Cold mezze offerings like Hummus, Muhammara, Fattoush, Fried Pita, Fatayer can be enjoyed right on the tables.

For desserts, customers can sample traditional sweet dishes from exotic land such as – Baklava – rich, sweet pastry made of layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey, Muhallabieh – Creamy milky pudding with roses, pistachio , Kataif Mihshi – pancakes stuffed with mascarpone cheese and served with sweetened rose syrup.
