Mangaluru: In the elections held on July 2 for the office bearers of Bharat Seva Dal Dakshina Kannada unit, Basheer Baikampady was elected District President. The elections were held in the presence of B K Salim, who is also the Deputy Superintendent of District Co-operative Societies in DK as well as Election Presiding Officer of Bharat Seva Dal.
President-elect Basheer Baikampady is also the former deputy mayor of the district. T K Sudhir as Secretary, Jayalakshmi as Vice President, Laxmisha Shetty as Treasurer and V V Francis as Member of the Central Committee are the other office bearers chosen.
S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Alphonse Franco, Abdul Jaleel, Siraj Hussain, Janet Franco, Umar, Padmanabha Salian and Akhil Kumar were unanimously elected as the new members of the district committee.
