Mangaluru: An hour after MP Nalin Kumar Kateel accused the Congress party of being involved in the stone pelting incident that took place in Bengre on February 20, Congress district president Harish Kumar joined the blame game and pointed at the BJP of pulling strings behind the incident.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, February 22 at the Congress Bhavan, Harish Kumar, taking dig at MP Nalin Kumar said, “Nalin Kumar, who got elected for the second term as MP from the district is not working towards development. He is not bothered about development either. Unfortunately, he is being projected as the No. 1 MP,” he said.

“BJP leaders are accusing the Congress government in the state of being corrupt. But, why don’t they produce any evidence to back their allegations? There are investigation agencies under the Union government. Let the BJP prove these allegations. If corruption is proven then let them supersede the government,” Harish Kumar added.

He also alleged that Karthik, who killed Akshatha in Sullia, belongs to the ABVP, further alleging that this is the reason that the BJP activists are not raising their voice against him. He questioned why BJP leaders like Sadananda Gowda, Shobha Karandlaje and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel are silent?

Mayor Kavitha Sanil and others were present during the press meet.
