Kasaragod: One person died and three suffered injuries when a car rammed into a bike at Uddampallam, late on Monday night, August 22.
The deceased has been identified as T Abdul Rauf (38), a resident of Thekkil Ferry. His wife Ruksaan and two children escaped with injuries.
It is said that Abdul along with his wife and two children were on their way from his from Bekal Mavval to Thekkil when the accident occurred in front of the BSNL office at Uddampallam. He had slowed down near a speed-breaker, when a car from the opposite direction rammed into his bike.
Abdul, who was rushed to a hospital in Kasaragod, succumbed to his injuries without responding to the treatment. Ruksan and one of her son were admitted to a hospital in Kasaragod, while another child has been shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru.
A case has been registered at Bekal police station.
