BJP chief Amit Shah to visit Mangaluru on Oct 2

Mangaluru: BJP National President Amit Shah will arrive at Mangaluru International Airport on October 2 at 6 PM to attend a Padayatra in Kerala’s Kannur scheduled on October 3, said Sanjeeva Matandoor, BJP District President.

Addressing the media on September 30, he said nearly 300 vehicles carrying BJP party workers would throng Mangaluru Airport to welcome Shah. Later, he will be accompanied by a convoy of vehicles from the airport to Talapady bordering Kerala and Karnataka, he added.

“After attending the Padayatra in Kerala, he will return to Mangaluru on the same day. On October 4, the state BJP executive committee meeting will be held in Hotel Ocean Pearl at around 10 AM in which, the top brass leaders of the state will take part. On the same day at around 5 PM, there will be a convention at TMA Pai Hall, in which the lawyers, doctors, chartered accountants and people from high profile professions will take part. There will also be a provision for party leaders and workers to witness the convention through LCD from another hall. On October 5 morning, he will be leaving from Mangaluru.”

BJP’s Padayathra from Puttur to Padumale on October 2 against desecration of Devi Baideti will be postponed to October 10, he informed.

BJP leaders Monappa Bhandary, Brijesh Chowta, Vedhavyasa Kamath and others were present.
