Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district Bharatiya Janata Party unit has extended its support to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) mass meeting at Nehru Maidan scheduled on November 25.
DK district BJP President and Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor, extending party’s support to the meeting on Wednesday, November 21, said, “The BJP activists from every booth will participate in the meeting. The leaders concerned from every booth are preparing now to attend the meeting. Over 1 lakh people are expected to participate in the meeting”, he said.
He also added that the Lucknow High Court had ruled that Ayodhya is the birthplace of Sri Rama. “Though the issue is now in Supreme Court, we hope it would deliver a positive verdict. Around 75 percent of the construction work on Ram Mandir has been completed now”, he said.
