Mangaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) D. K. Shivakumar stating that the farmers are the sufferers as the governments in State and Centre both are anti-farmer alleged that BJP at the Centre has been in favour of capitalists.
Speaking to media persons on Sunday September 26, Shivakumar said that the State Congress extends support to the Bharat Bandh call made by the farmers on Monday September 26. The farmers’ demand that their grievances should be heard is a legitimate demand, he added.
Reiterating that the farmers are agitating Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government’s anti-farmer policies, Shivakumar expressed sadness that the farmers’ demands are unheard and unfulfilled since the past one year. Farmers are the worst sufferers in the past seven years of BJP Government, he stressed.
