Mangaluru: State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader slammed the state BJP leaders for demanding the resignation of Minister K J George in the wake of the Supreme Court ordering a CBI probe into the alleged suicide of DySP Ganapathi.
Addressing a press meet, Khader said BJP had no moral right to seek resignation of George.
“Supreme Court of India has ordered CBI to take up the case for investigation. BJP is unnecessarily creating confusion among the people and making efforts to bring a black mark on the Congress government and K J George. The Siddaramaiah-led Congress government has given good governance in the state. BJP has no issues with it to fight the elections. Hence it is misleading people with false allegations and by communally polarising them for the votes”, he alleged.
He also said that people of the district should be aware of the BJP’s strategy of communal polarisation for the purpose of elections.
